Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Store Assistant to join our retail team. As a Store Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our store and deliver a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products or answering questions.
- Perform cashier duties, including processing transactions, handling cash, and providing receipts.
- Restock shelves and ensure products are neatly organized and displayed according to company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock or out-of-stock items to management.
- Assist in receiving shipments, verifying contents, and stocking merchandise in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation and securing the store.
- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with store policies.
- Provide support to other store staff members as needed to ensure efficient store operations.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
