Accounts Assistant

Position Overview:

The Accounts Assistant will play a vital role in supporting various accounting functions and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping:
    • Assist in the recording of financial transactions in the general ledger.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
  2. Invoicing and Payments:
    • Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Process payments received and reconcile them with outstanding balances.
  3. Expense Management:
    • Reconcile and process employee expense reports.
    • Monitor and categorize company expenses for accurate financial reporting.
  4. Bank Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial statements regularly.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  5. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Contribute to financial analysis and reporting as required.
  6. Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in the preparation for audits and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
