Company Driver

Position Overview:

The Company Driver will be a pivotal part of our transportation team, responsible for ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities:

Driving and Vehicle Maintenance:

• Operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to the appropriate supervisor.

Delivery and Route Management:

• Safely transport goods to designated locations according to schedules and instructions.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any unexpected delays.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous interactions with customers and timely resolution of any issues or concerns.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, maintaining a positive image and fostering positive relationships with clients.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations, including proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Complete delivery logs, inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and vehicle usage guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent education level.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a commercial or corporate setting.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes, as well as GPS navigation systems.
• Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.
